Today, Sullivan County CEO students were able to get a firsthand sneak peak of a business opening soon in Sullivan County, Robin's Place LLC. The students were very eager to meet Robin Donaldson, owner of Robin's Place LLC, a new community center coming to us in the heart of Sullivan downtown. Robin gave the students an up close and personal look at her building renovations and artistic abilities throughout the tour.
This tour also hit very close to home for this facilitator. Just a year ago, this same building was one of vacant examples the students chose to work with during their development project. It was such an honor to tour this building this morning and be able to watch it come to life before my eyes. You can definitely see how hard work has been put into it!
On top of a beautiful tour, Robin also discussed affects of trauma in the workplace. She introduced universal coping abilities that can be used as a manager or even a parent, and helped the students really look at the bigger picture behind people's actions.
